Tandm ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

• Account information (name, email address, date of birth)
• Partner connection data (partner linking, shared calendar events)
• Relationship check-in responses and snapshot data
• Chat messages between you and your partner within the app
• Love language quiz responses
• Usage data (streak activity, feature engagement, app interactions)

We also automatically collect certain technical information when you use Tandm, including device type, operating system, IP address, and general usage analytics.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Tandm app
• Generate personalized relationship insights and action plans
• Power AI-assisted features (such as the Argument Referee on Pro tier)
• Track your connection streaks and achievements
• Send you notifications and updates you have opted into
• Analyze usage patterns to improve the product

AI-powered features

Tandm uses AI (powered by Anthropic's Claude) to provide relationship insights and features such as the Argument Referee. When you use these features, relevant conversation data is processed by our AI provider to generate responses. This data is not used to train AI models and is processed in accordance with our data protection agreements with our AI provider.

Email communications

If you join our waitlist or sign up for our newsletter ("In Tandm"), we collect your email address to send you product updates and weekly relationship tips. You can unsubscribe from these communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email, or by contacting us directly. Unsubscribing from the newsletter does not affect your waitlist position or app account.

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not display advertisements in any of our products. We share your information only in the following circumstances:

• With your connected partner, as part of shared app features you both opt into
• With service providers who assist in operating our app (hosting, analytics, AI processing, email delivery)
• When required by law or to protect our legal rights

Data security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information. Chat messages are encrypted in transit and at rest. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Opt out of certain data processing activities
• Withdraw consent for email communications at any time

Children's privacy

Tandm is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
